PPC strategist Jenny Singh shared a fresh find in the wild: Google is now auto-generating callouts in standard and RSA search campaigns, using website content and previous ad assets to fill gaps.
While advertisers can still manually enter callouts, AI-suggested ones now appear in preview panels and live ads when not all callout slots are used.
What’s happening:
- Google scans landing pages and pulls short benefits, offers, or brand phrases
- Up to 4 callouts may now be dynamically inserted per ad
- Editable in preview but not available in reports (yet)
- Appears across desktop and mobile search placements
A screenshot shows a Search ad for a skincare brand featuring AI-generated callouts like “Clinically Tested,” “No Animal Testing,” and “Free Returns”—none of which were in the original campaign setup.
Heads up: The AI callouts aren’t always perfect. Some brands reported mismatched or outdated info, so it’s worth checking your ad previews often.
