Microsoft Advertising Launches Budget Scheduling for Audience Ads

Hot on the heels of Lifetime Budget support, Microsoft Advertising has introduced Budget Scheduling for Audience Ads,giving advertisers more control over when budgets are spent within a campaign’s lifespan.

Advertisers can now set different budget caps across specific date ranges, allowing for planned bursts during sales, launches, or peak seasons all without needing multiple campaigns.

Key features:

  • Set custom budget limits by week or date range
  • Combine with lifetime budgeting for better pacing
  • Works with manual and enhanced CPC bidding
  • Not yet available for search campaigns
  • No support for shared budgets (yet)

A demo slide shows the budget scheduling interface, highlighting “Add Date Range” options and a preview of the daily spend plan.

Why it matters: Flexible budget pacing means advertisers can align spend with real business goals without resetting campaign learnings.
